DESIGN REPORT

From Edgy Dark Tones to Warm Natural Aesthetics

This interior design project showcases a highly customized approach. Within the same residential layout, the design team seamlessly transitions between diverse styles to reflect the distinct personalities and preferences of different family members. Through the interplay of warm and cool materials, alongside striking contrasts of deep and light color palettes, the team has crafted a highly functional residence that balances contemporary fashion, sharp styling, and comforting natural warmth.

Foyer and Dining/Kitchen Area: Material Contrades and Warm Natural Light

Serving as the transition into the home and the core public domains, the layout of the foyer and kitchen prioritizes material continuity and the strategic capture of natural light.

  • Revisiting the Foyer and Dining Room: The design team opted to retain the original marble flooring, using it as the foundation for a reconfigured entryway. The space introduces a sophisticated combination of wood veneers and glass, fluidly guiding the transition into the communal areas. It is furnished with a modern dining table and chairs, setting a grand yet welcoming tone for guests.
  • Warm Gray Kitchen: The kitchen features a warm gray color palette as its primary visual theme. When natural sunlight streams in, the delicate gray tones blend beautifully with the warm light, creating an exceptionally inviting, cozy, and lived-in ambiance for cooking.

Private Quarters: Bespoke Spaces Reflecting Personalities

The private resting areas completely break free from uniform styling limitations, conducting bold color and stylistic experiments tailored to each individual occupant.

Master Bedroom: A Sophisticated Contrast of Textured Paint and Black Wood

The master bedroom design pursues a sense of understated depth. The wardrobe, serving as the storage centerpiece, features a highly textured artistic paint finish, which is paired with lower cabinetry crafted from black wood. The stark contrast between the cool black wood and the tactile textured paint finish lends a composed, artistic, and modern aesthetic to the retreat.

Son’s Bedroom: Edgy Dark Tones and Modern Metallic Fashion

Designed specifically for the son, this suite embraces an ultra-stylish, edgy cool style, using a deep color palette as its primary visual language.

  • Feature Wall: The headboard wall showcases a black wood veneer feature wall paired with textured artistic paint walls, utilizing different black material grains to layer visual depth.
  • Soft Furnishings and En-Suite Extension: A black metal pendant light is integrated to heighten the industrial-chic atmosphere. This dark, edgy aesthetic extends into the private en-suite bathroom, where the interior is entirely finished with black marble, offering a sleek and pure expression of dark modern luxury.

Daughter’s Bedroom: Pure White Slats, Shiplap, and Handmade Tiles for a Natural Breeze

Forming a vibrant contrast to the son's room, the daughter's bedroom adopts a pure white color scheme to foster a bright, completely natural environment.

  • Natural Wood Accents: The room incorporates clean slat elements (grille lines) and glass, complemented by hardwood flooring throughout to bring forth an organic, pressure-free sense of comfort.
  • Handcrafted Bathroom Aesthetic: The dedicated bathroom is outfitted with handmade small tiles and white cabinetry. The unique, organic textures of the handmade tiles perfectly echo the pure and natural design ethos of the entire bedroom.

"Perfectly embracing the diverse personalities and lifestyle tastes of the family through strong material contrasts and fluid transitions."
