This premium residence, "THE LEGACY" is situated in the prime location of Mid-Levels Central and boasts panoramic views of Victoria Harbor. This design project involved a comprehensive interior fitting-out for a newly completed four-bedroom apartment. The design team focused on the striking interplay of premium materials, seamless transitions in color aesthetics, and bespoke lifestyle spaces tailored to the varied needs of family members across different generations.
Living Room: The Contemporary Luxury of Dark Wood and Marble
Serving as the welcoming foyer and the core interactive hub of the mansion, the living room showcases a sophisticated and contemporary luxurious aesthetic through its curated selection of materials and furnishings.
- ⎯Material Contrast: The flooring is entirely finished with natural marble tiles, exhibiting grand and organic veining patterns. This is complemented by large-surface dark gray wood veneers on the walls and cabinetry. The stark contrast between the cool, elegant stone and the warm, deep wood tones adds a rich visual hierarchy to the space.
- ⎯Furniture Arrangement: Moving away from intricate lines, the space features sleek, modern minimalist furniture to keep the layout neat and airy, adding an understated sense of grandeur to the residence.
Private Quarters: Tailored Functionality for Every Family Member
The four-bedroom layout has been meticulously reconfigured to address the specific daily habits and age gaps of the occupants:
- ⎯Bedroom 1 (Theme: Warm Tones & Reading Functionality) This room incorporates a substantial amount of light oak furniture and cabinets to establish a bright, natural, and pressure-free resting environment. To cater to the homeowner’s reading and working habits, a dedicated study desk and a lounge area are positioned by the window where natural light is most abundant, creating a peaceful private corner for work and relaxation.
- ⎯Bedroom 2 (Theme: Elegant & Growth-Oriented Design) Specially designed for a young daughter, this room adopts a predominantly pure white color palette to present a soft, clean, and feminine style. Taking the child's growth cycle into account, the design team specially introduced a height-adjustable growth desk. This solution allows the desk to flexibly accompany her from early childhood through her youth, significantly extending the lifespan and adaptability of the furniture.
- ⎯Bedroom 3 (Theme: Flexible Layout & Care-Providing Functionality) As this bedroom has a relatively compact footprint, the designer utilized a custom-made wood veneer bed frame integrated with a trundle bed (pull-out bed) system. This clever arrangement keeps the walking pathways clear during the day while making it exceptionally convenient for parents or caretakers to provide close overnight supervision, successfully maximizing space efficiency.
